Today we're back to life as normal after spending the past week in Hawaii. We seemed to focus more on relaxing this time around, with an 'event' in the morning followed by playing on the beach after lunch. We stayed with Eric again (Thanks Eric!), at his 'new' place right on the beach. It was perfect.
On the way, it was fun to talk with Claire about what she remembered from our last trip. She said eating pizza with Eric and watching hula dancing on television. I think she'll remember much more this time around, being two years older. And I'm pretty sure playing on the beach will be on her list. She probably would have slept on the sand if we'd let her. The first morning we were there, Claire and I got up to watch the sunrise. And just because she asked so nicely, we went back to the beach at least once a day after that.
I think its safe to say this was the last time I'll be on an airplane before the baby comes. We got home just in time for the third trimester to start. I can't think of a better place to go as 'the three of us' one last time. Time is flying.

What they say is true
I've heard people say (many times) that kids would rather play with the box/wrapping paper/bows/etc than the actual item that came in the box. It holds true for us. Claire has transformed a giant box that came filled with presents into a house/elevator/library/back porch/etc, and she has played with it every day since Christmas.
